Meet the Staff of the Alda Ligita Heniss School of Classical Ballet!

Alda Heniss - Principal


Miss Heniss started her ballet studies at the age of six with Diana Jablokova-Vorps and continued her training at the School of American Ballet, New York City and Centre de Danse International Cannes, France. 

 

Miss Heniss, formerly Assistant Artistic Director and soloist dancer with the Toronto Regional Ballet Company has performed in many cities in Canada and the United States.

 

Miss Heniss is a full member of the Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAEC) as well as Ballet Examiner & Chairman of Examiners for PAEC. She also holds life membership in C.D.T.A. and has served as ballet examiner & member of the Executive Board for C.D.T.A. – Ontario Branch. Miss Heniss has taught at numerous Ballet seminars for teachers and students in Canada and the United States.

 

 

 

 

Heather Taylor - VP Tap and Jazz


Mrs. Taylor began her dance studies at the age of four with Rene Collins. She studied Ballet, Tap and Jazz, and participated in the C.D.T.A.  examination program where she completed all levels of student examinations in Tap & Jazz. During this time she also danced with the National Tap Dance Co. of Canada, where she studied under the direction of William Orlowski.

 

Mrs. Taylor is a full member of Performing Arts Educators of Canada. She has choreographed for many student recitals, competitions, figure skating and dance tours abroad. The School of Classical Ballet is very happy to have Mrs. Taylor returning for a 24th season.

 

 

 

 

Emily Morrow


 

Mrs. Morrow began her dance studies at an early age at the Alda Ligita Heniss School of Classical Ballet. She is a graduate of the Dance Program at York University.  Mrs. Morrow has performed in many recitals, competitions and  performances both locally and in Europe. Mrs. Morrow has a Bachelor of Education Degree and is a member in goodstanding of the Ontario College of Teachers. She also holds a full membership in Performing Arts Educatorsof Canada.

 

 

 

 

Susannah Lewandowski

 

 

Dancing since age 4, Miss Lewandowski began her training with the Alda Heniss School of Classical Ballet and  continued in a strong Ballet base with additional training in Tap, Jazz, Modern and Musical Theatre. She studied dance at the University of Waterloo and graduated from the Ryerson Polytechnic University Dance Program. Susannah also trained in the Cecchetti method while in England.  Miss Lewandowski studied with Audrey Looker for her teaching diploma through R.A.D. and received honors with the International Dance Association. Susannah is a full member of Performing Arts Educators of Canada. Miss Lewandowski has worked with many community theatre groups in Mississauga and Brampton both as performer and choreographer on such shows as Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Guys and Dolls and many more. The School of Classical Ballet is very pleased to have Miss Lewandowski on the faculty.

Chrissy Stuckey


Miss Stuckey trained in ballet, tap, jazz, acro and modern dance. She is a recent graduate of the York University Dance Program. As a York Dance Ensemble member, Chrissy was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the Danny Grossman Dance Company. 
 Miss Stuckey is a member of Performing Arts Educators of Canada. 

 

 

Jennifer Greene

Miss Greene began her dance studies at the age of three with Heather Menzies in ballet, tap and jazz.  She later joined the Alda Ligita Heniss School of Classical Ballet and expanded her studies to include modern, lyrical and hip hop.

Jennifer went to George Brown College for fitness and lifestyle management, and is now a certified personal trainer and aerobics instructor with Can Fit Pro.  She has performed many recitals and competitions in Canada and the United States.
